Competitions. Over the weekend, we had an 18 Hole stroke sponsored by Michael Armstrong from Cloonacool. Following on from our Captain’s success last week, our President Billy Kilgannon followed suite this weekend, and in particular, testing conditions achieved a fantastic score. The results were as follows, first Billy Kilgannon (64), followed by J McGuire (67) and the in-form Damian Cawley (68).

Junior Competition. Jamie Burke was the winner of the Junior competition held over the Easter break.

Junior Boys. Lessons have been arranged for 6.30 on Monday 16th and each Monday thereafter for a five-week period. The cost is 5 euro per lesson and all Juniors are encouraged to attend these valuable coaching sessions where all aspects of golf will be imparted including etiquette.

Friday Nights. From May 13th, the clubhouse is going to be the place to be as all members are encouraged to play and join their friends and foes for a bit of fun and craic. Food can be organised if somebody wishes to entertain or invite acquaintances, or work colleagues etc.

Next week. From Monday 9th to Friday 13th there will be a 9 Hole Stableford (r/e) sponsored by Romauld Mullarkey of Mullarkey Furniture.
