Tubbercurry Golf Club
Competitions.

An outstanding result from Bank Holiday Monday in the 9 Hole sponsored by Geraldine Brennan from The Laundry Basket saw Denis “ The Miller” Scanlon claim first spot, followed by Joey Wimsey from Tourlestrane, and in third, was Brendan Gannon from Tubbercurry.

Jack O’Sullivan; Best wishes to Tommy Clarkes’ outfit this evening (Wed.) for their outing versus Swinford. Entry is free and why not come along to see our top golfers in action.

Junior Boys. Next lessons are scheduled for Monday 20th at 6.15pm – it is not too late to attend.

Mixed Foursomes. Tommy Clarkes’ preparation and meticulous placement of the pairing saw us defeat Swinford 3 and 2. Keith Feehily and Breid McHugh did the business at home whilst the tried and trusted pairings of Padraic McDonagh/Kathleen Grady and John Brennan/Bridgie Clarke got the valuable away wins. The other pairing read CP Scanlon/Betty Scanlon and Damian Cawley/Breege Walshe.

Next up are old rivals Enniscrone on Wednesday 22nd June and Mr. Clarke has promised to freshen his combinations for this difficult outing.

High Boys Club. Last weeks winner was John Lawrence from Cloonagh, whilst this week before saw Jim Keigher collect the honour. In the League Table, Jim is leading the way followed by John and in third spot is “rookie” Maynard O’Boyle.

Next week; We have a 9 Hole Stroke competition all week (Mon to Fri) sponsored by Western Beverages and on Sunday we have an 18 Hole sponsored by Gearoid Surlis of Supervalu.

Dates for your diary; Fri. 25th June, the Club is running a Race Night to raise funds and your support is welcome, also the next day (Sat 25th) we have Connacht Gold Cup (scramble)
