Tubbercurry Golf Club
Competitions. The Galway Crystal sponsored 18 Hole was held in perfect conditions on Sunday last with first claimed by Charlestown’s Paddy Colleran (41), followed by Real Tubber star Gerard Henry (41) and in third was long hitting Jim Keigher also with 41.
High Boys. The winner of last Friday’s event was a man who is no stranger to collecting honours in the field, Tubbercurry dual star Paul Seevers, second was, Brendan Gannon from Tubbercurry and third, was John Lawrence from Cloonagh.
Jack O’Sullivan. Best wishes to our pairings in the third round against Castlebar on Thursday evening next. Please come along as your support is very welcome.
Roger McCarrick Singles. John Brennan wishes to remind competitors to complete their third round by this Sunday.
Open week. The “Open” is extended until Thursday 14th July – it is open to members and non-members alike. There are a host of quality prizes on offer, with the leading awards as follows;

Cecil Ewing. Unfortunately, we bowed out of this year’s event following a brave struggle by losing to Swinford on a 3 to 2 scoreline. Tony Burke wishes to thank all members of his panel for preparing so diligently and is already planning ahead for next year.
CP Scanlon Doubles. Please complete all outstanding games by Sunday 17 July.
Presidents Prize. Best wishes to our honourable President Billy Kilgannon who is hosting his prizes on Saturday next. The format is the same as other years and we eagerly look forward to see who makes the “cut” for the final 9 Holes. The course is currently in fabulous condition and all we require is good weather in what promises to be an eventful day.
