CMD Winter League
The finals of the CMD sponsored Winter League took place on Sunday with the Non-qualifier steeing off at 9am and the Qualifiers have a “shot gun” start at 12pm.

With weather conditions perfect it was a lovely day for both competitions which was reflected in the excellent scoring. In the Qualifiers section played for 18 holes we had a titantic struggle for First with Tommy Gradys team finishng with 6 under

Portuguese expedition.
The annual “Celtic Tiger Tour” by twelve members of the club saw them return to Portugal this year where they undertook the grueling challenge of playing golf every day for a week.

Each year, they normally enjoy favourable weather conditions however, this year, was the exception with reports coming back to the clubhouse that Wellingtons and Umbrellas were the favourite garb. Undaunted and led by the tireless AJ Hession, they somehow carried on and completed their difficult assignments. We also heard the duo from Tullinaglug managed to create a number of records and are already looking forward to next year’s trip.
