Competitions
. The Easter break coupled with the fabulous weather not to mention the carpet like surfaces saw a record number of players in the competitions held over the four days.

Fintan Kennedy of FBD sponsored the 9 Hole v Par that took place on Friday and Saturday, with first placed claimed by
Tony Burke (4 up) who sneaked in ahead of another youngster Padraic Moran (4 up) and third claimed by the ageless Martin McIntyre (3 up).

The 18 Hole Stableford held Easter Sunday and sponsored by John Perry TD saw
John T Marren from the Dawros claiming the spoils with an excellent 41pts,
second was
Joe Kilcoyne also with 41pts and
in third spot was
Eoin Gallagher with 39 pts which on another day would claim the top prize.

Beginners.
Our President Billy Kilgannon invites last years Beginners and anybody interested in joining as a Beginner, or otherwise, to the clubhouse to meet the Officers of the club.

This will be an informal gathering where all guests will get to know one another in a relaxed atmosphere with light refreshments served. Please put Wednesday April 27th at 7pm in your diary and don’t be afraid to bring a friend.

Junior Boys; Coinciding with the Easter break, Keith Feehily and Ger Henry have organised a competition running every day until the Ist of May.

Jimmy Bruen Shield; AJ Hession has drawn up a panel for first tie versus Enniscrone due to be held on the 9 May.
The provisional members are Jack Reade, John O’Flaherty, Jimmy Walshe, Christy Wimsey, Joey Wimsey, Francis Mulligan, Pat Ridge, Gerry Henry, Damian Cawley, Ronan Forkin, Pat Kilcoyne, Pearse Burke –

AJ would like to point out this in not the final selection and he will be monitoring other players over the coming weeks.

Club Hamper
. This year, we are indebted to Pauric Noone from Barna Waste who sponsored a Hamper to help in our fundraising activities. Tickets for the draw are for sale in the Clubhouse or from any Committee member

Next week
. Another Bank Holiday weekend beckons and the normal 18 Hole competition is sandwiched between two 9 Holes which are both open to visitors.

Sunday – 18 Hole Stroke (confined to club) sponsored by Clifford Electric, Sligo
Monday – 9 Hole Stroke (Open & r/e) sponsored by Cllr. Michael Fleming, Moylough.
